I'm really excited to be offering a workshop on street photography in coordination with the Yuma Art Center! The workshop is open to anyone who has a desire to capture images of life as it enfolds right before your camera. I will be featuring a variety of my digital archival inkjet prints for sale as well as my traditional darkroom prints. I'll be there to talk about my work with vintage cameras and my approach to the creative process of photography. Two of my images were selected to appear in the coming Little by Little Exhibition. Join me and my artist colleagues for an exhibition featuring all types of art that will be no larger than 12in by 12in in any direction.

My selected work features two contact prints made in a traditional darkroom
process. Contact photographic prints are made when the negative is placed on top of the photographic paper, exposed to light, then developed. In short, the image produced is the exact size of the negative. Photos that were selected were taken with my Kodak Brownie Junior 616 (circa 1934). The presentation is a nod to the old photo albums of the past when contact prints were the standard for snap shots and family photos. The 616 size negative was originally 2 1/2 in by 4 1/4 inch in size and commonly seen family albums from the
1930's to the late 1950's. To recreate this process now using 120 film, the size is slightly smaller by a millimeter or two.
